About the Role
We are recruiting a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Assistant on a permanent basis on behalf of Dove House in Creswell (just a 10-minute drive from Worksop), a specialist residential service supporting adults under 65 with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and complex needs.
In this essential facilities role, you will help create a safe, well-presented environment by handling routine repairs, general decorating, gardening, and building upkeep. You will conduct regular safety audits, coordinate on-site contractors, and participate in a 1-week rotating on-call rota for emergency maintenance cover, ensuring the highest standards of safety for residents and staff alike.
What You Will Need
Experience: Previous professional experience in a maintenance or facilities role with strong general DIY and decoration skills.
Attributes: A courteous, respectful approach toward vulnerable residents, excellent team-working abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
Proximity & Attitude: Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call rota, a commitment to safety and compliance, and ideally living within a manageable commute of Worksop/Creswell (S80 4BX).
