About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Deputy Store Manager for the retail store in Bishops Cleeve.

This role offers real responsibility and serves as the perfect stepping stone for experienced team leaders aspiring toward store management. As Deputy Manager, you will take true pride in driving sales, minimizing operational costs, delivering standard-setting customer service, and stepping up to lead the store in the absence of senior management.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

• Store Leadership: Take charge of day-to-day operations and run the store when the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager are off-site.

• Customer Excellence: Lead by example to deliver exceptional service that goes beyond customer expectations.

• Performance & KPIs: Support the Store Manager in boosting team morale, managing operational budgets, and achieving sales targets.

• Stock & Standards: Oversee inventory rotation, conduct quality checks, and ensure display merchandising looks immaculate.

• Financial & Compliance Admin: Handle end-of-day till cashing up, safe deposits, and due diligence checks.

• Health & Safety: Maintain strict safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and shoppers.

Skills & Experience Required

• Leadership Background: Demonstrated success leading teams in fast-paced, high-volume, customer-focused environments.

• Operational Control: Skilled in time management, stock control, and achieving business targets.

• Target-Driven: Self-motivated to consistently reach and exceed store KPIs.

• Compliance Mindset: Strong attention to detail regarding health and safety, financial admin, and quality standards.

• Experience Level: Previous Store Manager experience is a bonus, but strong team leaders looking for career growth are highly encouraged to apply!
