Location: Manton Wood, Worksop (Home to a team of around 1,700 colleagues producing sandwiches and wraps for major retailers like Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl, featuring an on-site gym, hot food restaurant, and staff shop)
Pay Rate: £16.25 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Days – Thursday to Monday OR Sunday to Thursday (Sunday–Friday: 10:30 – 18:30, Saturday: 08:30 – 18:30)

Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their major Manton Wood facility, we are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Hygiene Team Leader to monitor and guide a team of hygiene operatives, ensuring all sanitation processes and master cleaning schedules are flawlessly executed.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Resourcing: Supervise day-to-day hygiene activities, ensure adequate team resourcing and training, and direct the delivery of master cleaning schedules to maintain operational integrity.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment meeting all SHE Policy standards, manage chemical handling and inventory controls, and ensure adherence to food safety legislation and SOPs.
Maintenance & Reporting: Monitor equipment condition, escalate risks or damage to inform preventative maintenance programmes, and provide accurate information to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
What We Are Looking For
Certifications: Food Hygiene NVQ Level 2 (or sanitation certification equivalent), Basic Health and Safety NVQ Level 2, and relevant chemical handling training.
Experience & Skills: Previous experience in an FMCG or similar hygiene role, proven ability leading a diverse workforce, a solid understanding of food safety legislation, and computer literacy in Word and Excel.
