• Pay Rate: £22.70 per hour

• Hours: Permanent, Full or Part-Time (Day shifts on a rolling rota over 7 days, including alternate weekends)

• Location: Windmill Care Centre, Slough (SL1 3SY)

• Experience: Nursing home experience is desirable but not essential—newly qualified nurses are warmly encouraged to apply!

Your Role: What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse at Windmill Care Centre, you will be the clinical heart of the day shift—championing high-quality care, leading by example, and serving as a trusted advocate for our residents.

• Clinical Leadership: Take charge of day shifts as the Nurse in Charge, leading shift planning, team management, and infection control.

• Complex Clinical Care: Manage medication administration and oversee vital clinical tasks (including syringe drivers, catheterisation, taking bloods, PEG feeds, and stoma care).

• Care Technology & Planning: Utilise the Person-Centred Software (PCS) system to formulate, manage, and review detailed, tailored care plans.

• Collaborative Practice: Liaise smoothly with GPs and Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT), maintaining strict clinical governance and safeguarding standards.

• Nurture Wellbeing: Offer rounded physical, emotional, and spiritual support to residents, helping them maintain their independence and sense of purpose.

What We Are Looking For

We seek compassionate, detail-oriented clinicians who pair strong clinical decision-making with excellent interpersonal skills.

• Professional Credentials: A recognized nursing qualification with a valid UK NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).

• Clinical Skills: Confident in medication management, syringe drivers, catheterisation, venepuncture, PEG feeds, stoma care, and complex dementia care.

• Systems & Regulations: Essential understanding of the PCS system, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

• Physically Active: Comfortable assisting residents with physical tasks, including support with mobility.

• Eligible to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Slough (SL1 3SY).
