We are currently recruiting a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team supporting Wycombe Hospital and Amersham Hospital.
In this vital healthcare environment, your expertise will ensure that essential mechanical and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. By maintaining the spaces and equipment clinicians and patients rely on every day, your work directly supports patient care and community well-being.
As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance across a wide range of hospital plant, systems, and equipment.
Planned Servicing: Safely and efficiently deliver Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities.
Health & Safety: Follow all relevant workplace regulations and guidelines, proactively improving health and safety practices while safeguarding yourself and others.
Communication: Promptly communicate with supervisors and managers regarding unresolved defects or required spare parts.
Development: Attend onsite and offsite training as required, including preparation for Authorised Person duties (training provided).
Qualifications: A recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or similar structured training programme, alongside City and Guilds and/or BTEC qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Experience: Proven experience working in a similar building services or facilities maintenance environment.
Technical Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.
Core Competencies: Strong communication and customer service skills, with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and relevant police information) in accordance with safeguarding regulations, alongside an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Competitive Pay: £48,000 per annum, plus £160 per week for out-of-hours on-call rota participation.
