Position: Patient Administration Lead - Theatres (Permanent Role)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield—part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dynamic Patient Administration Lead for their Operating Theatre department.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours a week on a flexible shift pattern. In this pivotal leadership role, you will coordinate daily administrative operations within the theatre department, optimize theatre list utilization, and collaborate closely with surgical teams, senior management, and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and scheduling.
Department Leadership: Lead and coordinate daily administrative activities within the theatre team, ensuring service standards and targets are consistently met.
Theatre Utilization: Oversee smooth theatre bookings and ensure lists are efficiently maximized to capacity in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Attend and manage daily theatre meetings, working closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and frequently meeting with consultants, anaesthetists, theatre, ward, and reservation teams.
Patient Flow & Scheduling: Monitor patient flow processes, coordinate timely scheduling, and serve as the primary operational point of contact for enquiries and issue escalation.
Staff Management: Allocate tasks, support workforce planning, and provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and guidance to administrative personnel.
Experience: Proven administrative background within a healthcare administration or patient services role.
Leadership Skills: Strong team coordination, supervisory, or leadership experience.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, robust organisation, and sharp attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and patient management systems.
Competitive Pay: Starting salary of up to £33,500.00 per year based on experience, qualifications, and training.
