Key Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership: Take temporary charge of the home during night shifts when required, ensuring safe and effective day-to-day operations.

• Team Supervision: Lead, support, and supervise care staff, helping them maintain high standards and develop their professional skills.

• Medication Administration: Safely administer medication in line with MHA's Medication Policy and delegated responsibilities.

• Care Quality & Compliance: Support care planning, key working, and regulatory standards, including maintaining accurate records and upholding health, safety, and infection prevention policies.

What You Will Bring

• Experience: Previous experience working in a care setting, including shift-leading or deputising experience and medication administration.

• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside good IT literacy for basic office and email systems.

• Leadership: A natural ability to lead, motivate, and support a team with empathy, sensitivity, and inclusivity.

• Qualifications: A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) is desirable, or a willingness to work towards it.

• Proximity: Ideally living within approximately 15 miles of Stoke-on-Trent for a manageable and balanced commute.
