At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are delighted to partner with Lift Schools to present this Tuition Fee-Paying Initial Teacher Training (ITT) opportunity at Lift Winton in Andover. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this 1-year, school-based programme enables you to gain your Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while benefiting from substantial tax-free bursaries or scholarships.
You will spend the vast majority of your time gaining practical classroom experience, turning educational theory into practice with hands-on support every step of the way.
Generous Financial Funding: Eligible trainees can access a £29,000 tax-free bursary or a £31,000 computing scholarship to cover living expenses during the training year (Tuition fee: £9,790).
Direct Classroom Experience: Teach as an unqualified Computing teacher from day one, progressively building your teaching load and independence throughout the school year.
1-on-1 Personal Mentoring: Guided by a dedicated in-school coach and personal subject tutor who provide weekly feedback and tailored development planning.
Weekly Collaborative Training: Spend half a day every week attending targeted training sessions with fellow trainees across the Ark Teacher Training and Lift Schools networks.
Two-Week Summer School: Launch your journey with a two-week intensive session (2–13 August 2027) covering foundational lesson planning, behaviour management, and core educational theory.

To be eligible for this Computing Teacher Training route, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Degree: An undergraduate degree (2:2 classification or above) completed by the start of the programme. A degree in Computing or a related discipline is preferred (or a strong A-Level in Computing at Grade C or above).
GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
Teaching Status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work Rights: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
