About the Role

Morrisons is looking for a dynamic and driven Operations Manager to join their team. Playing a key role in store growth and success, you will ensure store operations run smoothly, making Morrisons a better place for customers to shop and colleagues to work. Deputizing for the Store Manager, you will foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, overseeing operational KPI targets, high store standards, and safe and legal compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Accountability for end-to-end store operations and resource allocation.
Identifying, mentoring, and developing talent across the store to build a strong succession pipeline.
Building the capability of the management team through coaching and stretching accountability.
Partnering with the People Manager to embed a culture of adaptability and change.
Ensuring strict compliance with food safety laws and regulatory standards.
Contributing to annual store plans with a commercial mindset to maximize performance and exceed sales targets.
About You
We are looking for a seasoned retail leader ready for their next big challenge. Ideal candidates will possess:
Previous experience in the retail industry, specifically managing a large, customer-facing, high-turnover operation (over £150k turnover per week).
Strong leadership skills with an active capacity to listen, respond, and inspire.
Exceptional coaching abilities to guide teams and share common ways of working.
A passion for driving talent and building trust across the entire store team.
The ability to set clear, department-specific objectives aligned with Morrisons priorities.
