Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (33 hours per week with alternate weekends required; part-time hours also considered)

We are partnering with the highly rated Green Gates Care Home in Summertown, Oxford—proudly holding a Good CQC rating and a 9.5/10 score on carehome.co.uk—to find a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant on a permanent basis. Green Gates offers residential, nursing, palliative, post-operative, and respite care in a relaxed, homely environment surrounded by beautiful gardens and excellent local amenities.
As a Senior Care Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will play a crucial role in running a unit, driving a team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality personal care, and inspiring them to be their best every day while assisting with clinical duties.
Key Responsibilities
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit and managing shift handovers.
Support with clinical duties, including helping nurses observe and issue medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
Drive, manage, train, and supervise a team of Care Assistants to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.
Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with a comprehensive range of personal care duties.
What We Are Looking For
Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role with a solid understanding of its rewards and challenges.
A motivated, positive, and resilient disposition with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
