Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Five Rivers Child Care Ltd to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for our specialist provision at Willow Haven in Warrington. This is a meaningful opportunity to transform lives by supporting children and young people aged 6 to 18 who cannot access mainstream education and require a flexible, therapeutic, and creative approach to learning.
Working both at our school base and in an outreach capacity across Warrington and surrounding areas, you will play a vital role alongside teachers and a multi-disciplinary team. You will help deliver a personalized academic, vocational, SEND, and therapeutic curriculum designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help learners re-engage with education in a safe, trauma-informed environment.
Learning Support: Support and deliver high-quality learning sessions tailored to individual pupil needs, working both on-site and in outreach settings.
Curriculum Delivery: Contribute to a diverse curriculum encompassing academic, vocational, SEND, and therapeutic elements.
Therapeutic Environment: Foster a safe, nurturing atmosphere built on active listening, effective de-escalation, and relational practice.
Collaboration: Work as an integral part of a skilled, supportive multi-disciplinary team providing consistent, child-centred care.
Skills & Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent IT and organizational abilities, and strong active listening and de-escalation techniques.
Approach: Resilient, compassionate, confident working with children, families, and professionals, and deeply passionate about helping young people flourish. (Experience in specialist or alternative education is beneficial, though transferable skills are warmly welcomed.)
