Key Responsibilities
Act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and ensuring high standards of clinical care across the home.
Undertake essential nursing tasks, including the safe distribution of medication, wound dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and the management of chronic medical conditions.
Advise residents' families and GPs promptly regarding any changes in condition, keeping them closely informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
Oversee the effective deployment and supervision of the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during your shift and accurate care assessments and plans are maintained.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Must hold a First Level qualification and possess a current, valid NMC Registration with the right to practice in the UK.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, supported by up-to-date knowledge of care and relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.
Core Skills & Qualities: Excellent interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application, and the ability to instruct, lead, and demonstrate care activities effectively.
