We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dedicated Endoscopy Lead Practitioner for the Endoscopy department at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry.
Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care provision within the Endoscopy Unit.
Provide quality planned care for patients during the peri-procedure phase through appropriate clinical supervision and strong managerial leadership.
Implement best practice standards (including HTM 01–06, Royal College guidelines, GRS, and JAG) across endoscopy service delivery.
Develop and support business initiatives, policies, and strategies designed to enhance service delivery for all customers.
Maintain direct responsibility for adhering to the departmental decontamination programme for flexible endoscopes.
Lead on departmental risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and action plan implementations while ensuring compliance with all mandatory training.
Registration: Current registration as a Practitioner with the NMC or HCPC.
Experience: Proven background as a Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent within an endoscopy service, backed by experience in clinical governance, audit, pain management, and care of the deteriorating patient under conscious sedation.
Specialist Qualifications: Basic and advanced competence/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination, Operators and Managers Course in Endoscopy Decontamination, and ILS certification.
Competencies: Strong clinical reasoning skills across a varied case mix, ability to challenge existing practices constructively in partnership with consultants, and teaching/assessing/mentorship credentials (dual-skilling in recovery, scrub, or anaesthetics is highly desirable).
Competitive Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per year.
