Salary: Retainer rates from £45.84 to £60.36 per 12-hour shift (day/night dependent) + £16.01 per hour attendance payment (minimum 3 hours per case)
Contract Type: Permanent (Bank / 0-Hour Contract)
Working Pattern: Part-time / Flexible 24/7 rota coverage (12-hour shift patterns: 08:00–20:00 & 20:00–08:00)

We are acting on behalf of Mountain Healthcare Ltd—a premier partner of NHS England and the police, and a leading provider of clinical forensic healthcare—to recruit a compassionate Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker on a bank basis at Spring Lodge SARC in Lincoln.
In this vital role, you will act as a dedicated advocate and the primary point of contact for victims of sexual assault attending the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). You will empower service users to feel in control, support them and their families through every step of their visit, assist with the collection of forensic evidence, and manage patient care pathways alongside police, health, and public sector partners.
1. Patient Advocacy & Support
Serve as the first point of contact and dedicated advocate for service users, providing trauma-informed, kind, and caring support.
Support service users and their families during their visit to the SARC, preparing patients and assisting clinical staff in the collection of forensic evidence.
Liaise with external agencies to coordinate patient care pathways and ensure a seamless, supportive experience.
2. SARC Operations & Safety
Ensure a high standard of DNA anti-contamination is maintained across the centre between forensic cases through rigorous cleaning and procedural compliance.
Maintain strict confidentiality, handle administrative duties, and operate effectively within a multi-agency setting.
Essential Criteria
Gender: Female only (Genuine Occupational Qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e).
Education & Skills: GCSE English and Maths (Equivalent Grade C Level), good interpersonal and organisational skills, IT literacy, and a basic understanding of administration.
Experience: Previous experience working in a supportive, care-focused, or customer-focused environment, paired with a kind, caring nature and a solid understanding of confidentiality.
Licence & Vetting: Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (as additional travel across SARCs may occasionally be required), along with the ability to successfully pass Advanced DBS clearance and Level 2 Police vetting.
Desirable Criteria
Educated to A-Level or NVQ Level 3.
Prior experience working with vulnerable adults, children, or young people, alongside a working knowledge of safeguarding principles.
