About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated night-shift operations talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their major Manton Wood facility in Worksop—where a team of around 1,700 colleagues produces high-quality sandwiches and wraps for top retailers like Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl—we are currently seeking a proactive Production Service Operative for the night shift. The site also features fantastic on-site amenities including a free gym, a restaurant with hot food, and a staff company shop.
Key Responsibilities
Line Support & Flow: Work on your feet in a fast-paced environment supporting up to 3 different products on a single line, acting as the vital link between preparation and production.
Ingredient Management: Ensure production colleagues and machinery constantly have the necessary ingredients to hand, avoiding any line shortages.
Documentation & Safety: Complete daily paperwork accurately to ensure strict compliance with food safety and company guidelines while meeting daily production targets.
Physical Demands: Handle a physical role that involves manual lifting and maneuvering high-volume products.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience working within a similar role in food manufacturing is required, ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent with basic understanding of food safety. Food Hygiene and Health & Safety qualifications are extremely beneficial.
Communication & Skills: A good understanding of English (verbal and written) to communicate effectively with the Line Coordinator and complete paperwork.
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to working safely.
