Location: Cadbury Hall Care Home, High Street, Bristol, BS49 4DW (Note: Travel to several homes in the local area is required; having a vehicle is a must)

About the Role
As a Bank Chef supporting Cadbury Hall and surrounding Barchester care homes, you will enjoy working with fresh seasonal food while maintaining a fantastic work-life balance without the long weeks and split shifts of traditional restaurants. Working on a flexible, casual basis to cover staff training and holidays across local homes, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Head Chef or stepping in to manage the kitchen, creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored around residents' individual preferences.
Preparing and cooking wholesome dishes using fresh produce and baking to meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Assisting in leading, inspiring, and motivating kitchen teams while managing stock control, audits, and operating within budget.
About You
We are looking for a qualified, passionate Chef driven by quality and resident wellbeing who has the flexibility to travel. To join us, you will need:
A City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent catering qualification.
A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
Experience working with fresh seasonal food and baking, plus a solid understanding of nutrition and HACCP guidelines.
A vehicle and full UK driving licence, as travel between several local homes is required.
