As a Functional Assessor in our Health Assessment Advisory Service team, you will carry out vital work on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You will evaluate how a person's health condition or disability affects their daily life through Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Work Capability Assessments (WCA).

Customer Consultations: Speak with customers by phone, face-to-face, or online to gather accurate, detailed health information.
Functional Assessments: Carry out structured functional health evaluations for PIP and WCA applications.
Clinical Collaboration: Consult with treating healthcare professionals where appropriate to ensure a comprehensive overview.
Report Writing: Produce fair, high-quality, and concise reports on behalf of the DWP.
Empathetic Engagement: Apply strong observational, listening, and note-taking skills to treat every customer with care, dignity, and respect.
We are looking for a qualified, registered clinician with strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to client care.
Professional Experience: Minimum of one year of post-registration clinical experience as a Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist.
Regulatory Registration: Full registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or equivalent) with an active PIN and no restrictions.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written skills with the ability to compile clear, concise reports.
IT Competency: Good foundational IT skills and the ability to work efficiently under time pressures.
Vetting Requirement: Successful completion of pre-employment security screening, including an Enhanced DBS check.
Financial Package: Base salary of £40,000 – £42,000 per annum with scheduled uplifts within your first 12 months.
