We are excited to represent Avery Healthcare in their search for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant - Nights to join the award-winning team at Southbourne Beach Care Home in Bournemouth.
Are you an experienced care professional looking for a rewarding night leadership role where you can mentor night teams, support resident wellbeing, and maintain exceptional standards of care? As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to work alongside the night care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and updating written records accordingly.
Participating in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Supporting residents safely with their medication requirements during the night shift.
Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their professional development.
Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are actioned and concerns or complaints are promptly escalated.

Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A positive, nurturing attitude toward both supporting residents and mentoring staff.
Responsiveness and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
