Key Responsibilities
Support the care home management team in delivering high-quality care by providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Lead a team of nurses, senior carers, and care support workers, offering guidance, demonstrations, and active instruction on care activities.
Enhance and promote residents' quality of life through effective, person-centred care planning.
Manage and participate in staff rotas to ensure the unit is appropriately and safely covered at all times.
Support the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in overseeing medication systems, including the ordering and safe distribution of prescribed medication.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Must hold a valid, active NMC PIN alongside an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes, with current UK professional registration.
Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience working within a care home environment.
Core Skills & Qualities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership capabilities, and full alignment with Avery's values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost met by Avery Healthcare) alongside proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
