What You Will Be Doing
Support individuals with daily living skills and actively engage residents in meaningful activities both within the hospital and out in the community.
Provide comprehensive personal care, support, and oversight while updating resident records and reporting relevant information back to the multidisciplinary team.
Work in a culturally sensitive mental health environment featuring self-contained flats designed to help men over 18 transition toward more independent living.
Work a dynamic shift pattern based on 12-hour shifts, covering 3 to 4 days a week (including nights and weekends on a rota).
Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven previous experience working within a mental health setting.
Ability to communicate effectively in British Sign Language (BSL to a minimum of Level 2), or identify as d/Deaf yourself.
Previous experience living or working with d/Deaf people, combined with a strong desire to support individuals with mental health problems.
A strong work ethic, excellent team-working abilities, and a compassionate, person-centred approach.

It provides a culturally sensitive service featuring support and rehabilitation driven by both deaf and hearing members of staff.
