Shift Options:
Tuesday to Saturday (Tue – Fri: 13:00 – 18:30, Sat: 08:30 – 18:00) OR
Sunday to Thursday (13:00 – 18:30)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find hands-on operations and technical talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their major Manton Wood facility in Worksop—where a team of around 1,700 colleagues produces high-quality sandwiches and wraps for top retailers like Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl—we are currently seeking an inquisitive and mechanical-minded Equipment Cleaning Operative. This is a skilled hands-on role that serves as a fantastic entry-level pathway into engineering (mechanical or electrical).
Key Responsibilities
Machinery Strip-Down & Reassembly: Receive full training to carefully strip down conveyor belts, slicers, wrapping machines, mixers, and other production kit, then rebuild them following thorough cleaning.
Hygiene & Chemical Handling: Work safely with specialized cleaning chemicals and machinery while maintaining strict adherence to hygiene standards and tight production deadlines.
Team Collaboration: Work closely as part of a dedicated team including Hygiene Operatives, Steam Clean Operatives, and fellow Strip Down Operatives.
What We Are Looking For
Interests & Skills: A genuine interest or background in mechanics, machinery, or engineering—someone who enjoys taking things apart and putting them back together.
Qualifications: Essential basic skills including Maths (Entry Level 3 and above) and English (Entry Level 3 and above).
Work Ethic: Exceptional attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, and strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with the wider hygiene and production teams.
