• Position: Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant

• Location: Taunton (TA1 1DX)

• Hours: 20 Hours per week (Fixed Term, flexibility required to cover available shifts including weekends. Pharmacy operation times: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 19:00, Saturday 09:00 - 17:00, Sunday 10:00 - 16:00. Ideally will be a qualified dispenser.)

About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with our national retail client to recruit a dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant for their Taunton in-store pharmacy.

In this role, you will be part of a team helping Britain stay healthier. You will provide friendly, confidential, and attentive service to patients while managing prescriptions, over-the-counter sales, and pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispensing & Patient Care: Ensure patients receive a friendly, confidential, and attentive service, including labelling and dispensing Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) and safely handing out prescriptions.

• Sales & Stock Management: Support and help control Over The Counter (OTC) sales and stock replenishment.

• Queries & Error Reporting: Help resolve surgery queries and correctly report dispensing errors and near misses.

• Services & KPIs: Deliver a range of pharmacy services and support the pharmacy team and manager with agreed KPIs.

• Flexible Coverage: Cover flexible shift patterns across pharmacy operating hours, including weekends.

About You

• Qualified & Experienced: Ideally a qualified dispenser who has completed approved courses such as an approved Pharmacy Assistant training course (e.g., NPA Interact) or an approved Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (e.g., NPA DAC).

• Compassionate & Caring: Shows genuine care and compassion for customers with a naturally helpful and friendly style.

• Proactive: Able to use your own initiative to help resolve customer queries and deliver high standards of service.

• Flexible: Comfortable working shifts and weekends within pharmacy opening hours.
