Role Overview
Are you ready to lead the team representing the British Red Cross in your local community? Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with the British Red Cross to recruit a permanent Shop Manager for their Taunton charity shop.
In this rewarding part-time leadership role, you will take charge of running a profitable, customer-focused store, driving financial targets, and inspiring a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, induct, train, and motivate a wonderful team of staff and volunteers to deliver a brilliant shopping experience.
Store Operations & Merchandising: Oversee day-to-day front-of-house and behind-the-scenes activities, designing store layouts that connect customers to the British Red Cross cause.
Commercial & Financial Management: Take ownership of achieving financial targets, managing budgets, and handling day-to-day cash and administrative duties.
Community Representation: Act as an ambassador for the British Red Cross, promoting the shop as the charity retailer of choice in Taunton.
What You Will Need
Experience: Proven retail experience at a supervisory or management level, with strong customer service and cash-handling skills.
People Skills: Exceptional management abilities with a talent for inspiring, developing, and getting the best out of people.
Commercial Drive: An entrepreneurial mindset, able to use initiative and work effectively toward financial targets.
Technical Skills: Good general IT literacy and familiarity with PC-based systems.
