Salary: £12.90 per hour
Contract Type: Bank / Flexible (Shift patterns include various hours between 08:00 and 20:00)

As a Pot Washer, you will assist our chefs and kitchen teams in ensuring all catering areas are impeccably cleaned, maintained, and safe, playing a vital role behind the scenes of our retirement village.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes by hand or load the dishwasher, storing clean items neatly and safely to minimize breakages.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure they remain free from grease and spillages at all times.
Wash work tables, walls, kitchen equipment, and appliances while adhering strictly to cleaning schedules.
Operate kitchen equipment and transfer items safely between storage and work areas.
Keep the kitchen tidy, secure, and properly stocked, ensuring rubbish is safely removed and HACCP records are maintained.
An understanding of Health & Safety and knowledge of maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
Desirable: An up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent), previous catering experience, and familiarity with a care environment.
Organised, adaptable, and capable of working well both within a team and under your own initiative.
