Deputy Nursery Manager

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of Supportive Bridge Limited for an inspiring and qualified Deputy Nursery Manager to join their Nuffy Bear Day Nursery team at Cottingley Manor Fitness & Wellbeing Club in Cottingley, UK.

In this role, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations, guide early years staff, and maintain high standards of child education and care in accordance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frameworks and Ofsted standards.

Role Description

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the operational leadership of the nursery, deputising in the Nursery Manager's absence. You will oversee activity planning, assessments, and safeguarding procedures while fostering strong relationships with parents, carers, and external childcare professionals to promote early childhood wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Nursery Manager and assist in the operational management and high-standard delivery of early years care.

• Implement EYFS frameworks, oversee activity planning, and ensure compliance with updated childcare legislation and safeguarding policies.

• Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external professionals while driving nursery quality standards.

Requirements

• Relevant Early Years qualification (NNEB, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies, or equivalent).

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an Ofsted-registered nursery setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of EYFS guidelines, safeguarding protocols, and early years curriculum planning.
