Position: Hygiene Department Trainer - Days
Location: Manton Wood, Worksop (Home to a team of around 1,700 colleagues producing sandwiches and wraps for major UK retailers including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl)
Pay Rate: £16.25 per hour (Overtime paid at time-and-a-quarter after 48 hours)
Job Type: Permanent - Full-Time
Shift Pattern: Tuesday to Saturday (Tue - Fri: 10:30 – 18:30 / Sat: 08:30 – 18:30)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated training and hygiene professionals. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their major Manton Wood facility, we are currently seeking a passionate and communicative Hygiene Department Trainer for the day shift. This role focuses on developing colleagues, ensuring high standards of hygiene practice, and delivering operational and compliance training to empower new and existing team members.
Key Responsibilities
Induction & Coaching: Support new starters through their first 12 weeks with essential training, buddying, and 1-to-1 coaching on the factory floor to ensure successful onboarding.
Training Program Delivery: Develop and deliver hygiene-specific training programs, refresher sessions, and Cleaning Instruction Cards in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Compliance & Auditing: Maintain accurate skills matrices, training records, and standard operating procedures while verifying and auditing competency standards.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor learner progress through feedback, use active listening to identify training needs, and ensure food safety standards are consistently met.
What We Are Looking For
While some elements (like a Train the Trainer qualification) can be developed on the job, ideal candidates will bring:
Core Skills: Literacy and Numeracy at Entry Level 2, strong attention to detail, and working knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel, Email, PowerPoint).
Experience & Knowledge: Strong understanding of hygiene practices and procedures, coupled with hands-on coaching or buddying experience.
