About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is teaming up with Branston to recruit a reliable group of Despatch PPT Drivers for their busy potato packing facility during the peak Christmas production period.

This fixed-term opportunity runs from October 2026 to mid-January 2027, with potential opportunities for permanent roles for the right candidates. To make your commute easier, transport to the site from Lincoln city centre is available!

Shift Patterns & Hours

• Day Shift (6:00 AM to finish):

  • Pattern A: Week 1 (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed) & Week 2 (Sun, Mon, Tues)

  • Pattern B: Week 1 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) & Week 2 (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)

• Night Shift (6:00 PM to finish):

  • Pattern A: Week 1 (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed) & Week 2 (Sun, Mon, Tues)

  • Pattern B: Week 1 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) & Week 2 (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)

• Overtime: Additional overtime opportunities are available during peak production.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• PPT Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) to transport potato products around the site for storage and distribution.

• Loading & Unloading: Manage the loading and unloading of lorries via the despatch bays.

• Equipment Checks: Carry out mandatory daily equipment pre-checks and promptly report any faults or damage.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, warehouse, and despatch teams to keep the workflow moving smoothly.

• Safety & Hygiene: Strictly follow all health, safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures while maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.

• General Duties: Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Skills & Experience Required

• A valid Powered Pallet Truck (PPt) licence, relevant in-house training, or verifiable experience (in-house refresher courses or training may be considered for the right candidate).

• Previous experience operating a PPT in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience is a plus).

• Solid awareness of health, safety, and hygiene procedures.

• Able to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the flexibility to cover shifts, weekends, and overtime.
