We are acting on behalf of NUPAS Ltd to recruit a dedicated and highly motivated Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will take ownership of the month-end process, deliver insightful variance analysis, and provide robust financial management support to non-finance budget holders. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders—including the Finance Manager and Head of Finance—to support costing, forecasting, and continuous efficiency improvements across a dynamic, mission-driven organization.
Month-End Reporting: Manage the end-to-end month-end process, including posting journals to the ledger, conducting soft closes, and preparing comprehensive variance analyses.
Financial Partnering: Produce monthly regional finance reports, meet with budget holders to review performance, and explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance colleagues.
Planning & Costing: Assist with organizational costing, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
Audits & Compliance: Collaborate with the finance leadership team to handle external auditor requests and champion value for money across operations.
Cross-Cover & Development: Support process improvements, cross-cover team duties as needed, and uphold NUPAS values, including supporting a woman's right to request an abortion within the UK legal framework.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications (Essential): CCAB finalist with a targeted date of completion (CCAB Qualified Accountant is desirable).
Experience (Essential): Significant, hands-on experience in the month-end process, financial reporting, financial management with budget holders, costing, and forecasting. (Experience in healthcare finance or finance business partnering is desirable).
Skills & Knowledge
Technical Skills: Exceptional Excel and data analysis capabilities, and confidence as a ledger user (Sage ledger expertise is a plus).
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear insights for non-finance colleagues.
Interpersonal & Organizational Skills: Strong ability to build respectful working relationships, provide and receive feedback, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing demands.
