We are partnering with the scenic Norewood Lodge Care Home in Portishead, Bristol—holding a fantastic 9.3/10 score on carehome.co.uk—to find an enthusiastic and passionate Assistant Chef on a bank contract basis. Overlooking the Bristol Channel and the hills of Wales, Norewood Lodge delivers person-centred residential, nursing, palliative, and convalescence care within a warm, modern environment.
As a Bank Assistant Chef through Supportive Bridge, you will be part of a dedicated kitchen team that brings magic to every meal, ensuring our residents enjoy delicious, nutritious food tailored to their individual tastes and dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Use your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritious menus in line with residents' dietary needs and personal preferences.
Propose innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience, helping residents feel truly at home.
Assist in training and managing the kitchen team across the preparation, cooking, and serving of food.
Adhere strictly to COSHH, HACCP, and company health and safety guidelines, while helping manage orders, deliveries, and budgets.
Cater for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, birthday celebrations, and Christmas parties.

A true passion for cooking, previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen, and relevant food hygiene certificates.
