Experience & Licencing: Prior experience of leading a team of care assistants and Registered Nurses, along with an active NMC Pin.
Qualifications: QCF level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Knowledge: Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
Availability: Must be able to work 42 hours per week, including weekend availability.
As a Clinical Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for leading the care team to ensure that the clinical care delivered to our residents is safe, supportive, and person-centred. You will ensure that resident needs are regularly reviewed and that general standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and equipment are maintained for safety and well-being.
You will also provide support to the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, assuming full capacity in their absence.
A typical day could include:
Team Leadership: Induction of new team members and ongoing supervision and support to existing staff.
Care Audits & Planning: Completing care audits to ensure high standards and triggering reviews as resident needs change, maintaining person-centred care plans focused on dignity and individuality.
Collaboration: Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers, and residents to ensure holistic and transparent care provision.
Safety & Compliance: Monitoring, reporting, and investigating risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm, implementing processes to mitigate risks.
Administration: Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts, and meeting notes are kept fully up to date.
