Role Description

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is delighted to recruit a dedicated Maintenance Assistant / Gardener on behalf of our client to look after the physical facilities and outdoor spaces of a welcoming care home in Dalkeith. In this versatile role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring internal living areas remain safe and functional, while keeping the gardens and outdoor grounds beautiful, secure, and enjoyable for all residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine building repairs, preventative facility maintenance, and regular safety checks across the home.

• Maintain care home gardens, pathways, and lawns to high visual and safety standards throughout all seasons.

• Address day-to-day maintenance requests promptly to maintain a seamless, high-quality living environment.

Requirements

• Practical prior experience handling both building maintenance tasks and general gardening upkeep.

• A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach suited to working in a residential care setting.

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on attitude toward daily tasks.
