Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to support specialized home-care placements, partnering to find exceptional care providers for individuals with complex neurological needs. We are currently recruiting a patient, motivated, and compassionate Physio & Rehabilitation Support Worker to support a gentleman in his early sixties living in the lovely village of Hoo, Rochester, who has sustained a spinal injury affecting his mobility.
If you have experience in care and an understanding of physiotherapy or rehabilitation—whether formal or informal—this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful, person-centred impact.
Rehabilitation & Therapy Support: Work closely with the client to help him achieve his therapeutic goals, attend appointments, and engage in daily activities that support his ongoing progress.
Specialist Clinical Care: Provide essential complex care interventions, including spinal injury care and bowel evacuations, following nurse manager-written care plans precisely.
Community Mobility & Driving: Act as a driver to accompany the client safely to appointments, community activities, and outings.
Communication & Rapport: Confidently and clearly communicate with the client, building positive rapport while keeping thorough, professional records.
To excel in this specialized agency placement, you will need:
Essential: Previous care experience, a full driving licence to support community travel, and physical/mental strength with the ability to motivate and support our client.
Desirable: Complex care knowledge, a background in physiotherapy or rehabilitation (or currently working toward it), and experience supporting individuals with spinal injuries.
