We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for a dedicated Cleaning Team Leader to join their dynamic team in Bournemouth.
About the Role
As the Cleaning Team Leader, you will be at the heart of warehouse operations, providing strong, hands-on leadership to a team of Warehouse Operatives. You will ensure the warehouse operates safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and stock control.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. While leadership and warehouse management are your primary focus, you will also play an active, hands-on role in equipment handling, stock cataloging, and occasionally supporting home deliveries and collections with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, guide, and support Warehouse Operatives to maximize output, safety, and efficiency.
Lead by example, demonstrating effective warehouse maintenance and high standards of housekeeping.
Scan, sort, and process returned equipment into the correct areas prior to cleaning.
Maintain strict stock control processes, book in new stock, and barcode items accurately.
Photograph non-stock equipment and upload them to the online catalogue with precise descriptions.
Use scanners to track stock movement and pick items for delivery.
Safely unload delivery vehicles.
Conduct occasional visits to clients' homes to assist with equipment delivery and collection, always maintaining a compassionate and professional manner.

Experience: Previous experience in a team leader, supervisor, or senior warehouse role is ideal.
Physical Requirement: You must be comfortable and competent with extensive manual handling.
