Shift Pattern: Night Shift - Wednesday to Saturday, 17:00 – 05:00

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated operations talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their major Manton Wood facility in Worksop—home to a team of around 1,700 colleagues producing sandwiches and wraps for top retailers like Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl—we are currently seeking a reliable Machine Operative to join their night shift team. The site also boasts fantastic on-site facilities including a gym, a hot-food restaurant, and a staff shop!
Key Responsibilities
Machinery Oversight: Perform daily machine start-ups, maintain continuous operational oversight, and promptly report any mechanical faults.
Compliance & Checks: Carry out regular compliance and quality checks, including date and code verification, correct label usage, and food safety monitoring.
Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and Health & Safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a close-knit production team to ensure efficient line operations and address issues swiftly.
What We Are Looking For
Full on-the-job training is provided. The ideal candidate will possess:
Communication Skills: A good standard of written and spoken English, alongside solid numeracy skills.
Work Ethic: High attention to detail, accuracy, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
Experience: Previous background working in an FMCG, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is advantageous, though full training will be given.
