About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced and caring Healthcare Assistant on a permanent basis on behalf of Gregory House in Workington, a specialist Learning Disability and Autism service providing care and support to 22 adults with high support needs and continuing challenging behavior.
In this vital role, you will help individuals along their recovery pathway toward leading valued, fulfilled lives within a robust, least-restrictive setting. Your day-to-day duties will include participating in ward rounds, analyzing and adapting to behaviors with colleagues, updating patient records, and assisting with personal hygiene and overall care.
What You Will Need
Experience: Previous professional experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker, ideally working with individuals with challenging behaviors, learning disabilities, or mental health needs.
Attributes: A positive, resilient, compassionate, and vigilant attitude capable of handling a dynamic and deeply rewarding environment.
Proximity & Attitude: Flexibility to work 12.5-hour shifts across a 3–4 day weekly rota (including days, nights, and weekends), and ideally living within a manageable commute of Workington (CA14 3PD).
