Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with community leisure trusts to connect passionate aquatics professionals with rewarding teaching careers. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic Swimming Teachers to join the team on behalf of Basingstoke and Deane Community Leisure Trust at the Basingstoke Aquadrome.
In this rewarding role, you will deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the established Swim England Learn to Swim framework. Whether building water confidence in beginners or developing advanced skills, your work helps promote active, healthy lifestyles and provides life-saving skills across the local community.
What You’ll Do
As a Swimming Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England framework for diverse age groups and abilities.
Skill Development: Foster water confidence, stroke technique, and water safety, helping swimmers progress from initial stages onward.
Customer Care: Interact warmly with customers and families, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly environment on the poolside.
Safety & Standards: Maintain rigorous poolside safety standards and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or a Swim England (ASA) Level 2 qualification.
Safety Certifications: Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous (free training can be provided to complete these courses if needed).
Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for teaching people of all backgrounds and abilities.
Vetting and Checks
This role requires a DBS check in accordance with safeguarding regulations.
