This role offers the chance to move beyond routine care, forming meaningful, long-term relationships while providing vital one-to-one support to non-verbal clients with profound disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Specialist Clinical Care: Deliver safe, person-centered care including epilepsy management, seizure protocol execution, and gastrostomy (PEG) feeding and care (with refresher training provided).

• Communication & Sensory Support: Utilize non-verbal communication methods, sensory awareness, and advocacy to uphold client dignity, comfort, and safety.

• Daily Living Assistance: Assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities while closely monitoring and documenting health and behavioral changes.

• Care Plan Adherence: Follow care plans written by nurse managers strictly and work collaboratively within a broader multidisciplinary team.

Candidate Requirements

To excel in this specialized agency placement, you will need:

• Previous experience in complex care environments.

• Confidence working with non-verbal individuals, severe learning difficulties, and profound disabilities.

• A calm, patient, empathetic approach paired with a strong willingness to learn specialist clinical skills.
