Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted healthcare facilities partners for a dedicated Housekeeper.
Based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, you will play an essential part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. You will deliver high-quality housekeeping, cleaning, and catering services within your allocated area while providing day-to-day direction, guidance, and support to Domestic Assistants. Your work directly impacts hygiene standards, patient care, and overall hospital operations.
Housekeeping & Cleaning: Deliver cleaning, housekeeping, and catering services to agreed standards across your allocated clinical areas and departments.
Team Direction: Provide day-to-day direction, support, and oversight to Domestic Assistants working within your area.
Catering & Mealtimes: Serve patient meals and beverages, ensure dining areas are cleared and cleaned, and maintain hygienic kitchen and server areas.
Linen & Waste Management: Distribute clean linen to wards and safely transport soiled linen and clinical waste to designated collection points.
Safety & Compliance: Follow strict Health & Safety, COSHH, food hygiene, and infection control policies at all times.
Facilities Reporting: Report maintenance defects, equipment issues, and hazards through the appropriate channels, while managing local stock ordering via Team Leaders.
Personal Attributes: Reliable, approachable, customer-focused, and capable of using initiative and organizing workloads when priorities change.
Physical Capability: This is a physically active role requiring mobility for much of your shift to carry out cleaning, catering, and linen tasks.
Qualifications & Background:
Good literacy and numeracy skills, with an awareness of risk assessments and safe working practices.
British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) Operator Proficiency Certificate Level 1 (OPC L1) or relevant training is desirable.
Basic Food Hygiene Certification (or relevant training).
Vetting Requirement: This role requires obtaining satisfactory Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership prior to employment.
