Join the specialist team at Adderley Green Neurological Centre in Stoke-on-Trent for this 9-month fixed-term maternity cover role. Here, you will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, receive continuous mentorship, and gain hands-on clinical experience while helping patients recover from neurological illnesses, acquired brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based occupational therapy assessments.

• Under supervision, plan, facilitate, and review individual and group OT treatment programmes.

• Build strong, individual rapport with service users to empower their recovery journey.

• Identify and action referrals both in-house (including supporting care staff) and to external agencies under supervision.

• Support the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways, and protocols while maintaining accurate contemporaneous electronic and written records.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Current registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), or an active application submitted.

• Demonstrated ability to research, plan, implement, and evaluate projects for specific client groups.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

Adderley Green is a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service in Stoke-on-Trent for adults over 18 with complex neurological conditions, acquired brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. The facility features extensive resources and a full interdisciplinary team working collaboratively to deliver person-centred care, allowing residents to undergo structured reviews and work toward targeted, monitored recovery goals.
