About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Bourne Leisure Trust and Serco Leisure for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Leisure Centre Gymnastic Coach / Fitness Instructor.
Based at The Grange Leisure Centre in Midhurst, you will inspire and support participants of varying ages and abilities, delivering engaging coaching sessions in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Working on behalf of the Leisure Trust, your role is key to encouraging active, healthy lifestyles, helping individuals develop essential skills, confidence, and enjoyment through physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Delivery: Deliver safe, engaging, and inclusive gymnastics coaching and fitness sessions for participants of varying ages and abilities.
Session Planning: Plan and lead structured activities that support skill development, progression, and personal enjoyment.
Inclusive Environment: Foster a positive, welcoming atmosphere that encourages high participation and builds participant confidence.
Health, Safety & Safeguarding: Monitor strict health and safety standards during all sessions and ensure all safeguarding requirements are rigorously followed.
Customer Service: Build positive, professional relationships with participants, parents, and colleagues, ensuring an exceptional experience for everyone using the centre.
What You’ll Need
Professional Qualifications: Hold a recognized British Gymnastics Level 2 qualification or British Gymnastics Activity Instructor certification.
Coaching Experience: Proven background coaching gymnastics or delivering structured sports/fitness activities.
Passion & Approach: A genuine passion for helping people develop new skills, achieve their goals, and adopt healthier lifestyles.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with a customer-focused, inclusive approach.
Safety Awareness: Solid knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety requirements within a sporting environment.
Vetting Requirement: Successful completion of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
