Working Pattern: Flexible 24-hour cover (day shifts 08:00–20:00 or night shifts 20:00–08:00, including on-call nights, Monday to Sunday; sufficient hours required to maintain clinical competence and case exposure)

About the Role
We are acting on behalf of Mountain Healthcare Ltd—a market-leading provider of clinical forensic healthcare in partnership with NHS England and the police—to recruit compassionate and dedicated clinicians as Sexual Offence Examiners (SOEs).
Based at the Spring Lodge SARC in Lincoln, you will provide expert, trauma-informed care and forensic examinations to victims of sexual assault. Guided by core values of Being Kind and Doing the Right Thing, you will receive full training and support through Mountain Healthcare's unique Forensic Practitioner Gateway to transition into this vital, specialist healthcare role.

Key Responsibilities
1. Forensic Examinations & Clinical Care
Perform forensic examinations, obtain forensic exhibits, and secure consent for health and forensic procedures in accordance with FFLM guidelines and Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
Develop robust forensic strategies and undertake comprehensive holistic assessments covering sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
Produce individualized management plans and act as a first point of contact for victims, police, and social services regarding referral pathways.
2. Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Quality Improvement
Work collaboratively in partnership with external multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), police officers, and safeguarding agencies.
Support the continued quality improvement of the service, maintain accurate records, and promote self-referral pathways.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: Qualified Registered General Nurse (RN), Midwife, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Paramedic with current, unrestricted UK professional registration.
Experience: Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant post-qualification experience, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
Competencies: Strong phlebotomy skills, solid understanding and knowledge of adult and child safeguarding, and strict adherence to confidentiality and legal standards.
Requirements: Female applicant only (genuine occupational requirement); full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle; willingness to undergo an advanced DBS check and Level 2 police vetting.
Desirable Criteria
Prior experience working with survivors of sexual assault or abuse, or knowledge of contraceptive methods and legal issues relating to sexual health.
