About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Branston to recruit a dedicated team of Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Drivers for their busy potato packing facility during the peak Christmas production period.
This fixed-term contract runs from October 2026 to mid-January 2027, with fantastic opportunities for permanent roles in various fields for the right candidates following the Christmas season. (Please note: Own transport is essential due to the rural site location).
Shift Patterns & Hours
Day Shift (6:00 AM to finish):
Pattern A: Week 1 (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed) & Week 2 (Sun, Mon, Tues)
Pattern B: Week 1 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) & Week 2 (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Night Shift (6:00 PM to finish):
Pattern A: Week 1 (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed) & Week 2 (Sun, Mon, Tues)
Pattern B: Week 1 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) & Week 2 (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)
Overtime: Regular opportunities available during peak production.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
FLT Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to support site logistics.
Stock Movement: Transport potato products across the site for storage and ultimate distribution to customers.
Loading & Unloading: Manage the loading and unloading of lorries via ramps and despatch bays.
Safety & Maintenance: Complete daily pre-operational forklift safety checks and report any defects immediately.
Compliance & Housekeeping: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures while keeping the work environment clean, organised, and safe.
General Duties: Assist with general warehouse and factory operations as required.
Skills & Experience Required
A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent). Note: Recently expired licences may be considered with opportunities for in-house certification/refreshers.
Proven experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (food manufacturing background is advantageous).
A strong, uncompromising commitment to health and safety procedures.
Solid communication and teamwork skills with a positive, adaptable attitude.
Flexibility to work required shift patterns and additional hours during peak periods.
