We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a flexible and expert Clinical Specialist – Hand Therapy (Bank) for the Physiotherapy department at Three Shires Hospital in Northampton.
Conduct specialist assessments and evidence-based treatments for patients presenting with complex hand injuries, post-surgical conditions, fractures, and chronic upper limb dysfunctions.
Design and implement highly specialized treatment plans, including custom splinting, scar management, targeted exercise programmes, and functional rehabilitation.
Exercise autonomous clinical decision-making using advanced reasoning skills.
Act as the key clinical expert, leading hand therapy services within the wider physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams.
Develop, review, and optimize clinical pathways, protocols, and outcome measures specific to hand therapy.
Contribute to the strategic planning and expansion of hand therapy services in alignment with patient needs and clinical advancements.
Supplement core staffing levels during busy operational periods and provide essential cover during staff absences or annual leave.
Registration: Current, valid HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
Experience: Extensive post-registration experience in musculoskeletal or upper limb rehabilitation, backed by proven expertise in hand therapy (splinting, post-surgical care, and conservative management).
Professional Affiliations: Postgraduate training in hand therapy or advanced clinical practice, with active membership in the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) or equivalent.
Background: Prior experience working in private healthcare or specialist outpatient services, alongside involvement in research, clinical audits, or guideline development.
Skills: Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, teaching, and leadership capabilities.
Competitive Hourly Rate: Up to £30.00 per hour.
