Job Title: Regional Head of Maintenance
Location: Northampton, Bridge Meadow Way, NN4 5EB (Regional Responsibility across the Central region)
Salary: £50,000 per year + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with on-call duties when required)
We are partnering with Richmond Villages to find an experienced and driven Regional Head of Maintenance for their Central region. As a Regional Head of Maintenance through Supportive Bridge, you will lead maintenance operations to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and operating at the highest standard. You will oversee maintenance teams, manage planned and reactive repairs, and guarantee that buildings, grounds, and essential services are consistently well-maintained to deliver an outstanding environment for residents.
Manage, train, and develop maintenance team members, maintaining clear records of all instructions and equipment usage.
Assist with staff inductions, focusing specifically on emergency exits, fire points, and evacuation procedures.
Provide phone-based advice when off-duty and handle call-outs to the village during emergency situations.
Report defects to the village manager and identify issues requiring escalation or specialist advice.
Ensure the exterior buildings and grounds are maintained to a safe, high standard of repair with minimum disruption to residents and staff.
Monitor boilers to ensure proper function, correct temperatures, and freedom from leaks or defects.
Ensure safety and cleanliness adhere to current regulations, completing and recording all required health and safety checks.
Adhere to company purchasing procedures to minimise waste and control costs effectively.
Maintain office workshops and plant rooms, ensuring areas are clean and tools/equipment are safely secured.
Ensure all resident electrical appliances are checked and tagged as safe for use in line with health and safety regulations.
Previous experience in a property or maintenance repair role with a strong understanding of building services such as electrical distribution and plumbing.
A Health and Safety or relevant building, electrical, or plumbing qualification (highly advantageous).
Experience with planned maintenance systems, record-keeping, statutory requirements, and good general IT skills.
