About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant for Grace Care Centre. Located on the outskirts of the historic town of Thornbury, this 70-bed care home provides personalised, 24-hour specialist dementia and residential care in a warm, comfortable setting.
As a care assistant, you will make a real, daily difference in the lives of our residents. From assisting with daily routines and personal care (such as washing, bathing, and toileting) to providing genuine companionship and sharing laughs during activities, you will help our residents live happy, fulfilled, and dignified lives.
Key Responsibilities
Person-Centred Care: Assist residents with personal care routines, ensuring their dignity, independence, and comfort are always respected.
Companionship & Activities: Engage residents in fun activities, conversations, and meaningful interactions that brighten their day.
Relationship Building: Form warm, lasting bonds with residents and their families, becoming a trusted member of our extended care family.
Communication: Work effectively as part of a supportive team, communicating clearly to maintain a positive living and working environment.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Both experienced care assistants and those completely new to the care sector are welcome to apply! We provide comprehensive induction training and ongoing development.
Personality: A kind, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for caring for others.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
