Based within the Course Administration team at the prestigious Defence Academy in Shrivenham, you will look beyond a traditional administrative position. You will play a vital leadership role in supporting world-class education and training programmes for military personnel and government partners. By coordinating cross-functional activities, building strong stakeholder relationships, and mentoring colleagues, you will help drive improvements that make a genuine difference to national service delivery.
Workload & Priority Management: Manage and prioritize workloads across multiple workstreams to ensure strict deadlines and service standards are consistently met.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain proactive, positive working relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members, offering practical solutions and clear communication.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline, simplify, and standardize administrative processes to increase operational efficiency and consistency.
Digital Innovation: Help champion smarter ways of working through automation, digital tools, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership & Mentoring: Support colleagues through active coaching, knowledge-sharing, collaborative working, and team mentorship.
Problem Solving: Take full ownership of operational issues, resolve challenges effectively, and appropriately escalate risks when necessary.
Experience: Significant administration background working within a busy, fast-paced operational environment.
Organization & Autonomy: Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills; capable of managing multiple priorities and achieving results with minimal supervision.
Communication Skills: An effective communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities and the confidence to provide professional challenge where required.

Vetting Requirement: This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, with potential requirements for formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC) depending on the environment.
