As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are thrilled to partner with Morrisons to source an ambitious, results-driven Operations Manager for their Whitehaven store in Cumbria.
As a vital leader deputising for the Store Manager, you will oversee end-to-end store operations to ensure the business runs smoothly, safely, and profitably. You will champion an inclusive culture where team members feel valued, high operating standards are driven, and the management team is effectively coached to achieve peak performance.
Operational Leadership: Accountable for the end-to-end process of all store operations, ensuring optimal resource planning and execution of routines to the highest standard.
Talent & Team Development: Continually identify, mentor, and build a strong pipeline of successors while stretching the accountability of the management team.
Safe & Legal Compliance: Serve as an expert in compliance, ensuring all departments strictly adhere to food safety laws and regulatory guidelines.
Commercial Drive: Contribute to annual store planning with a strong commercial mindset, identifying growth opportunities and exceeding sales targets.
Customer Focus: Oversee product availability processes and listen directly to customer feedback to continuously elevate the daily shopping experience.
We are seeking an established senior retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Essential background in the retail industry with proven experience managing a large customer-facing, high-turnover operation (over £150k turnover per week).
Leadership Style: Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with the capacity to listen, respond, inspire, and foster common ways of working.
Collaboration & Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to resolve challenges, build trust across the entire store team, and foster a culture of collaboration.
Strategic Alignment: Capable of setting clear department objectives that align directly with Morrisons’ core priorities.
