Location: Supported Accommodation Home, Plymouth, Devon
Salary: £28,537 - £29,690 per annum + £50 per sleep-in allowance (Based on completing 2–3 sleep-ins per week)
Contract Type: Full-Time, averaging 39 hours per week (Features a standard shift pattern of two-on, four-off)
Could you be the consistent, grounding presence that helps a young person successfully transition toward independent living? We are seeking dedicated Senior Support Workers to join our new supported accommodation home in Plymouth, Devon, supporting young people aged 16 and over.
In this vital leadership role, you will guide and teach young people essential life skills, helping them prepare for adulthood while supporting them with day-to-day tasks, schoolwork, and college engagement. Operating within our embedded trauma-informed practice model, you will provide compassionate, stable support to young people who may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma.
Guide and mentor young people aged 16+ as they build independence and essential life skills.
Provide consistent, trauma-informed support for day-to-day routines, education, and college engagement.
Act as a stable, empathetic role model for young people who may have experienced frequent adult transitions and instability.
Support the wider team, maintaining a calm, resilient approach during challenging moments (including lone working situations).
Maintain accurate electronic records and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary services.
Essential Qualification: You must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification).
Essential Requirements: A full UK driving licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
The ability to commit to 2–3 sleep-ins per week and a standard shift pattern of two-on, four-off (initial training period runs Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
