Are you an experienced property maintenance professional looking for a secure, full-time permanent leadership role where you can ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff?
As the Head of Maintenance at Sutton Grange Care Home, you will oversee all aspects of upkeep across the building, gardens, and grounds—ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere. From everyday repairs to groundskeeping, leading your team, managing budgets alongside the General Manager, and liaising with external contractors, this is a varied and highly impactful role where resident wellbeing is always the top priority.
Property & Grounds Maintenance: Oversee and carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the care home building, gardens, and grounds with sensitivity to residents' needs.
Team Leadership & Management: Lead and inspire your team, work independently when needed, and support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
Contractor Liaison: Coordinate and liaise with external contractors for specialized projects outside of in-house expertise.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work meets high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Experience & Skills: Hands-on experience in property maintenance with at least one core trade skill and the ability to undertake diverse repairs.
Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and IT literacy.
Requirements: A full UK driving licence, reliability, and flexibility regarding working hours.
