Location: Austen House Care Home, Kilnsea Drive, Reading, Berkshire, RG6 3UJ (Home-based position with regional travel covering Wokingham, Reading, and Bracknell)
Pay Rate / Salary: £32,000.00 per annum + £6,000.00 per annum Car Allowance
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40.00 hours per week

About the Role
As a Permanent Operational Trainer at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous delivery of Good and Outstanding care by equipping staff to work in a compassionate, person-centred manner. Covering approximately 4 homes across your region, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and delivering induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics.
Providing practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
Planning and publishing training calendars, managing employee training files, and observing workplace practices.
Arranging induction paperwork and onboarding buddies prior to new employee start dates, maintaining regular contact, coaching, and supporting new team members.
Collaborating with Home Managers to ensure the implementation of individual personal development plans.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate training professional with strong coaching and interpersonal skills. To join us, you will need:
C&G 7300 (or equivalent teaching/training qualification).
A Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or relevant experience working in the social care sector.
Working knowledge of legislative requirements within the care sector.
A minimum of 2 years of training experience.
A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel across the region.
